30 day Paleo challenge

Postby Matt_Wicks » Sun Sep 25, 2011 11:22 am

Kicking off a 30 day Paleo challenge in mid October.

Been thinking about giving Paleo a go?
Why not test it out at the same time as some of your team mates.

Who is interested?

Yo Wicksy
You have to put your name down on the other posting...nah you just have to ok..that's it

What about some resources for us newbies to Paleo; as in some simple plans/meals we can get going right from the start with? I have some plans in that book I was telling you about but they all look like he's been shopping Paleo for a bit. I will need to go with, for the most part, the goodies we have on hand. Drop the crap off and just go with the good stuff...ah challenges and WhoTF came up with this idea anyway...

Pete,

Sorry dude, only just tuned back in to the forum.

My 30 days doesn't line up with everyone elses so I am not putting my name in to the hat on that. I will only be a few weeks in while you guys are finishing up.

Here is an easy meal plan for ya'
You could serve this every night with a different spice mix and no one would know

Brown onion
500g beef mince
3 zucchini's grated
1 carrot grated

Dice and brown onion in lard, dripping or coconut oil (Yeah! Forget everything you have heard about "Artery clogging saturated fat"!)
Toss in the mince and brown
Slap in your zucchini and carrot and cook for a few more minutes.
Choose a spice! Italian herbs for a Bolognese style, Curry powder, Garam masala or Burrito seasoning will all work with this just check the packets to make sure they are not bulked up with rice flour or other shit!

Hope its going well now you are this far in

Hey, thanks
I will give that a go
Not sure Kerry, my wife, will get off on the same meal nights in a row though.

I have coconut cream with my protein post workout now. Get light variety, Homebrand, at Woolies (that would be "My Woolies" of course). It's still 98% or there a bouts coconut material and a few other things but 400ml and 85cents is a good balanced argument for me. That's enough.

Still not working so even more of a good idea to save money and I'm not really going to get into flagellation if I don't quite Paleo to 110%. I feel benefits as it is so that's a good thing for me.

I hear rumbles because you have shifted so much weight. Me, as I said, I have been hovering at 85 for 12 months or more so I figure I'm reasonably close to a good weight for an old fart at least. I would like to get to 78 or so but that just seems so far away and particularly with the amount of work we do and the amount of fuel I have to have.

I am also getting dizzy through the day, not a lot but I notice it when it happens because I am not used to it happening...
