What if its all been a big fat lie?

Thought I'd link to this.

Its a fairly long article though so if I was to sum the article up it would be : The science on low-fat was dodgy.

It all ties in quite well with The Zone and Paleo as nutritional strategies and I believe was quite influential on some of the early Crossfitters.

Yes a long read but a good one, it sort of sums up how people get an idea and run with it, without understanding it. Scientists included. Can be applied to so much in todays world.

Basically, low fat diets where promoted because fat = evil, however in lieu of fat, people upped the carbs, which just made people fat and unhealthy and diseased.

....and if you have an hour or so:

The man himself talking about it - I haven't watched it yet but I imagine its easier to get an idea of what he's talking about here than reading the 900 page book. This was posted on the mainsite.
