leader board

Postby kez » Fri Jun 12, 2009 11:05 pm

lets say someone did a leaderboard wod and it was quick enough to make the board should that time be ommited because that person did the wod harder than the other leaders such as doing the runs with a 10kg weight vest. Seems to me to be just as easy to write (clean skin) beside someone's name as it would be to write(runs in 10kg weight vest) or at least forget i (I mean someone) did runs in a weight vest and post their time regardless????

Nah mate if they did it harder and still managed to get a fast enough time then they should be on the leaderboard for sure.

Just like you said, note next to the time if it was weighted, otherwise assume it was as rx'd.
Do now what others don't,
So later on you will have what others won't.

I agree kind of. but you have to stick with it............ I'll try to explain. If someone does say Murphy with a vest but only runs with it but doesn't do the pull ups pushups or squats with it then yes you did do it harder but it will be 2 hard to monitor all these variations for the leader board. If that person kept the vest on the whole time and got a slower score then yes they would go ontop because they did it harder and as rx'd.

We start to run into problems if we decided to put scaled workouts up on the leader board. for example some one is doing Elizabeth and they are putting in a smashing time but half way through second set of ring dips they blow out and have to go to bands. They get a time on the leader board but they had to scale half the workout or maybe an example like fran say some one does 50kg thrusters to make it harder for them in that portion of the session and they did it slower should they go on the leader board because they lifted heavier and made it harder? I do not think so.

for the example given ie Murphy I think you start with the vest you were it the whole way you get the top because with murph it says if you have a 10kg vest wear it. It doesn't say wear a 10kg vest for half of it. So i think for Murph and leader board we have either clean skinned or weighted but not half and half

absolutely agree rob. my point would be that all leaderboard scores should be as rx'd, and as such no comments should be placed beside scores. perhaps the leaderboard for muph should read "clean skin Murph", or should murph scores only count if it is done with a weight vest, in that case no one scores will count yet. but as it stands my time is good enough for third place.

Leader board will only post times that are rx'd not scaled. For Murph that is either clean skinned or weighted vest for the duration. It will come around again in a feww weeks no doubt and I can almost bet that all those times will be smashed!!!

When these workouts come up for the leaderboard lets try to smash those times and get a whole fresh bunch of names up there!

I will have both under 2 categories. I do not want people to go faster instead of harder to try post a good time. I will put on murph clean skin and murph weighted and see how many people can get top 3 in both categories. I wil update leader board tomorrow. However you wear a vesy you wear it for the lot. Deal?

Today a few new leaders should go up on the board and hopefully the first few people to start to qualify for the shirt!
