5050 Reps after 100 days per movement :o

Have you guys decided on an exercise or group of exercises yet? I think kez's approach about going balls to the wall for one set at the start of the day sounds like a very good idea.

I remember Rob saying to Andy a while ago as well something about doing reps every hour on the hour. I think it was in relation to improving his pushups for the army but I imagine you could apply the technique here as well with some success.
Still not sure the whole challenge is necessarily a great idea but I'm more than happy to be proven wrong.

Just to clarify, what is the specific goal of the challenge? Is it to improve your proficiency at the exercises? Imrove performance at Crossfit WOD's? Just to challenge yourself because, like most people that do Crossfit, you're all nutjobs who will never back down from a challenge? :P
Do now what others don't,
So later on you will have what others won't.

The goal of this challenge is not to become an animal at any particular exercise but simply create a routine for beginners or those who are weaker at particular exercises. By doing a set/programmer or prescribed number of reps each day gets those that are a little more sedintary to be more active.

3 exercises is too much by far. It will detract from the wods which is the main focus of the day. To perform say 270 movements on day 90 and expect to beat your last Cindy score is pretty much impossible.

Crossfit is increased work capacity across broad time and modal domains, not taking 100 days to perform some 4bazillion movements. Pick one exercise an do that. Pull ups and handstand pushups are most peoples weakness.
Give 100% or don't bother trying

yea 3 is too many, y dont we do just 1 at a time plus our workouts and then after the 100 days start a new exercise...it would take us years to finish them all...plus it would cure cancer?

another suggestion.... why don't the people who want to do the 100 day challenge choose their own exercise that they want to improve on (as everyone is different with their strengths & weaknesses) and go with that for the challenge. Then, after the 100 days, choose something different? And those that want to be in it, but need to be scaled (in the true Crossfit way) could do 50 by doing the reps every 2nd day. That way if everyone starts together, they will finish together.

I am going to do Handstand Pushups.

I like Sharons suggestion, pick an individual weakness/something you want to improve on, and work on it.

I will try and get some geek stuff on the web to make it official in the next couple of days, perhaps even today, so we can start this thing!
