CF geek links

Postby adrian » Sat Jun 20, 2009 7:35 pm

Alright I'll admit it - I'm a Crossfit geek - I like reading about other peoples ideas on CF and fitness just as much as I enjoy participating in it. So I'm thinking if people find anything interesting they can post links here.

So here's the first..

Yea - You discovered I have no life huh?

This link's for the super geeky - its about the benefits of exercise on regenerating brain stem cells - makes an interesting point about exercising with others. The video made more sense to me than just reading the transcript though.

"Because routine is the enemy, our training is variable, irregular and general in nature," Caldwell says. - sound familiar?

Interesting idea for post-wod. Something I need to do - but I always feel so freakin' exhausted after a wod...

Good links i have been thinking of this recently and would love to work L- pullups, Handstands, Presses, Weighted PU, Pistols etc. after WOD. All those little things that help make up the big picture.

I agree that perhaps we do all un named wods chest to bar if we can to increase the training effect and when a named wod pops up we can smash it out chin to bar.

Sugar is bad ok. A good link to get to the crux of the issue. Pretty much the basic premise presented in Gary Taubes' 600pg book "Good calories, Bad calories".

You look around, at it really is everywhere in society thesedays.

Poison.

The longer I go without, the better I feel for it and the less I want it. I can even taste it in sauces and things I normally wasnt so sensitive about.
