Strength and Conditioning on the Gold Coast: Rest Days

The two words, rest days - they can strike fear into the heart of many athletes, however if your training program is working they should come often and as a relief. How often do you program rest days for yourself or your athletes?

Lessons from Mobility WOD's Kelly Starrett

If any of you follow Kelly Starrett's Mobility WOD, you would be aware that he's just his finished 365 days of mobility project. So  apart from everyone being extremley mobile and supple what did he learn?? Starrett offers the following on his site:

 

Over the course of the last few months I have learned a few lessons to say the least:

 

1) Athletes need to be treated like athletes.  Tubes of foam are for children.  Mobilization tools for athletes need to be legit.
